Teaching the Trinity

I recently came across a new concept for understanding the Three in One. I like it so much better than the example of the egg (shell, white and yolk).
It is so simple, so obvious, yet so profound.

God the Father is the sun

Your unfailing love, O Lord, is as vast as the heavens;
your faithfulness reaches beyond the clouds. Psalm 36:5

Be exalted, O God, above the highest heavens!
May your glory shine over all the earth.
Psalm 57:5

God the Son, Jesus is the light

In Him was life and that life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it.

This was the true light that gives light to every man who comes into the world. John 1:4,5 & 9

When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life." John 8:12

God the Holy Spirit is the warmth

The sun rises at one end of the heavens and follows its course to the other end. Nothing can hide from its heat.  Psalm 19:6

God, who knows the heart, showed that he accepted them by giving the Holy Spirit to them, just as he did to us.
Acts 15:8

And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us. Romans 5:5

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13

May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.
(II Corinthians 13:14)
