Happy Birthday Dad

There's something like a line of gold thread running through a man's words when he talks to his daughter, and gradually over the years it gets to be long enough for you to pick up in your hands and weave into a cloth that feels like love itself. ~John Gregory Brown, Decorations in a Ruined Cemetery, 1994

What a precious sentiment--I have never come across that before. Thanks for helping mom celebrate yesterday--she was to sick to do it by herself. Love you.

I hope your dad had a great birthday. Thanks for your comments. And it did not seem to bother my dad that Matt didn't come home but I don't know for sure. We still had a great day though. And my dad called me that night to tell me he enjoyed his visit with us. Ella was so happy to see her Paw Paw. I know he loved seeing her too. She's grown a bit since December.

You have alot of family birthdays lately.:) I love those times when it seems as though there's constantly things to celebrate. I hope your day is going well. I love that you have become a part of our prayer group and it was great to have a chance to pray for you the other evening. I'm not sure if you guys are still doing the homework for Adventure Club but last weeks vs. went perfect with what was prayed Wednesday night.
