On the Seine at Bennecourt, 1868 Claude Monet

I really enjoy this painting. Everything about it is pleasing to my senses. I can smell the trees, the grass and the water. Hear the birds perched above, the gentle movement of the water, distant children's voices at play. (What? Can't you see them on the other side with their boat?) It's such a hot summer day and reading by the shore is the coolest place to be.
I delight in its quietness, its peace. Yes . . . very pleasing.

And today is my ninth wedding anniversary.
These verses were on our wedding invitations:

Place me like a seal over your heart,
like a seal on your arm.
For love is as strong as death,
its jealousy as enduring as the grave.
Love flashes like fire,
the brightest kind of flame.
Many waters cannot quench love,
nor can rivers drown it.
~ Song of Solomon 8:6,7

Happy anniversary, my sister and brother. No other wedding day could ever be quite like it - so happy for me and for our family. The day my oldest brother married my husband's sister...we will never tire of saying it. ;)
Love you both dearly. Have the happiest day.

Happy Anniversary! I never heard what you planned but I'm sure it's great. Can you believe only one nore year until the big 10? I know Josh and I were talking about our big trip for our 10th next year and I still can't believe how the time has flown.

Happy anniversary, dearest one! Can it really be nine years already? Nine years ago I was GREAT with child in my silk periwinkle dress, no longer able to keep my feet in my new white sandals, and glowing with perspiration...no, of course I must have been glowing with happiness...for your new life and new love.

God has blessed you indeed!

Love you,
Jody
