To Annabelle one afternoon Bronwen sang:
don't worry . . . it's okay
They're probably going to get
you anyway.
If you don't see a monster . . .
There's probably one behind you
La la la la la
What do you do?
What have you done?
Just read, just read . . .
La la la la la good-bye, good-bye
There is such a matter whatever
you say . . .
There's a monster behind you
You are such a matter . . .
You're going to jail!
La la la la la la
She made it up of course and the melody was quite lovely.
But I'm trying to decide if I should be worried.

Nothing like a big sister trying to relieve the fears of her little sister. LOL
Laughing hysterically! The first stanza is my favorite. I expected sweetness and comfort but instead found impish, big-sister mischief. I love it. What a funny girl. Poor Annabelle! :o)
I wouldn't be too worried about Annabelle . . .if she had known the chorus, she probably would have chimed in . . . in a deep monster voice!
What a girl! I love her so much.
{hugs} to all of you tonight, my dear. xo
I want to include this on my children's cd!! Get her to sing it again and record it so I can hear the melody too. Too funny.
